Isn’t this about Obama’s executive order that they must be sold for scrap? It was one of his very first E.O’s.

You'd think this administration would love reloaders. Heck, they're just recyclers going “green.”

I’d sure like to get a hold of that brass, especially the .30 Carbine

Why are they worried about empty cases when you buy brand new
Lake City green tips for $860/2000 rounds?
The price on the website is $880 but you get a $10/case discount if you pay by check.

Last week, NRA-ILA learned that quantities of once-fired small arms cartridge cases recovered from firing ranges on military bases, which by federal law the Department of Defense is prohibited from demilitarizing or destroying, were being sold for scrap. This is AWESOME. The cases don't need to be destroyed, and they can be bought by the ton.
NRA: STFU before you screw it up.

None of the funds available to the Department of Defense may be used to demilitarize or dispose of M-1 Carbines, M-1 Garand rifles, M-14 rifles, .22 caliber rifles, .30 caliber rifles, or M-1911 pistols, or to demilitarize or destroy small arms ammunition or ammunition components that are not otherwise prohibited from commercial sale under Federal law, unless the small arms ammunition or ammunition components are certified by the Secretary of the Army or designee as unserviceable or unsafe for further use.I love it!
