Propaganda sometimes turns on the subtlest details.
Change “our” to “their” (which is in fact more precise, since the drawing shows two libtards and there are millions of Tea Partiers) - and the cartoon loses almost all of its (superficial) impact.
They can’t even a run commuter service on the rail they have now. Lack of funding.

TAXPAYER-funded!
Yeah, those.
Idiot libs probably don’t even know the history of the federally funded highways. Hint: They were created primarily for military purposes. The civilian use is an intended side benefit, but they are basically a military preparedness and massive airstrip system, hence its creation by the National Insterstate and DEFENSE Highways Act of 1956: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_Highway_System IOW, it’s the kind of thing the feds are supposed to do, and most TEA Partiers would agree!
Its kinda funny. I live on a street that has never been paved and doesn’t get plowed during the winter. Seems to me that I have reason to complain about the lack of plowing.
I’m not concerned about the lack of pavement because there are only two houses on the street abd I’m the only one who lives here year round.
The dumbed-down public believes the Govt PRODUCES THE MONEY they spend .. and that’s because they don’t even know what taxes they may be paying .. or they may not be working and are just receiving handouts.
It’s the AMERICAN TAXPAYER who sends their hard earned dollars to the feds in the form of taxes - that created that highway - and it’s time to start saying that.
>>>As usual, the left thinks they own and pay for everything. Not a one of them would bother to read the Constitution and see that roads are indeed a legitimate function of the federal government.<<<
Agreed. Roads are listed in Article 1, Section 8.
Sh** like this makes so annoyed I want to reach out and slap the cartoonist. However, the good news is that, as a useful idiot, the cartoonist is going to be one of the first ones targeted by the left once they assume complete control.
The second power is important because the popular title of the law that established the interstate highway system was:
National Interstate and Defense Highways Act From the source at the link:
Eisenhower had first realized the value of good highways in 1919, when he participated in the U.S. Army's first transcontinental motor convoy from Washington, DC, to San Francisco. Again, during World War II, Eisenhower saw the German advantage that resulted from their autobahn highway network, and he also noted the enhanced mobility of the Allies, on those same highways, when they fought their way into Germany. These experiences significantly shaped Eisenhower's views on highways and their role in national defense. During his State of the Union Address on January 7, 1954, Eisenhower made it clear that he was ready to turn his attention to the nation's highway problems. He considered it important to "protect the vital interest of every citizen in a safe and adequate highway system."
Immaterial. He doesn't even care.
The only thing he's interested in is some sort of handle for a smear.
This one is the standard liberal smear: "You can't argue against us -- we're for government spending! Where would you be if the federal checks stopped? You're such a hypocrite!"
