The difference is that African-Americans are a "protected class", and tea partiers are not. In fact, the only groups today against which any epithet is acceptable, no matter how derogatory, are tea partiers and other conservatives, white males, and Christians.
Okay, so why are African-Americans a protected class, and tea partiers are not? Why are tea partiers subject to ugly epithets? Is that not discrimination?
