Obama says Beck, Limbaugh fuel 'troublesome' political climate

In an interview with Harry Smith on CBS' "Early Show" Friday morning, President Obama called out Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh as purveyors of "vitriol" - creating a climate in which he's called a "socialist" and even a "Nazi."

Smith asked the president if he was "aware of the level of enmity that crosses the airwaves and that people have made part of their daily conversation about you." Obama replied, "When you've listened to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck it's pretty apparent." The rancor is "troublesome," he said, but he acknowledged it's also a recurring phenomenon.

"Keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of - this kind of vitriol comes out," he said. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious and people are feeling that there's a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans."

Walking with Smith on the grounds of the White House, the president said that he is "concerned about a political climate in which the other side is demonized" and that "everybody has a responsibility, Democrats or Republicans, to tone down some of this rhetoric." What's different about today, Obama suggested, is the way overheated rhetoric has moved into the mainstream.

"It used to be that somebody who said something crazy, they might be saying it to their next-door neighbor, or it might be on some, you know, late-night AM station at the very end of the radio dial."

In your wildest glue or gasoline huffing experiences could you ever have hallucinated an American president claiming another as his "home" country? No wonder foreigners consider us to be stupid. Imagine how ballistic the "fair and balanced" non-fixed non-Fox media would've gone if Cindy McCain casually referred to Panama as John's ‘home country’ during the 2008 campaign?

By the way: Now, let's all observe that this was not some off-the-cuff remark made in front of a couple of staffers behind close doors, that was accidentally caught by reporters, or some quick rejoinder blurted out during a live debate, or a humorous, impromptu aside dropped while appearing on "Oprah." It was said on a podium, while delivering a written speech, in front of the entire press corps.

I've given up talking to any of the bleating, curdled staggering mutant dwarves smeared richly with the effluvia and offal accompanying their alleged birth into this world about this crap and what it is that they wrought with their ingorant, blind and vapid stupidity. The whole lot responsible for this travesty and blot on the history of the United States are nothing more than insensate, blinking calfs, meaningful to nobody, and abandoned by the puke-drooling, giggling beasts who sired them and then killed themselves in recognition of what they had done. I will never get over the embarrassment of belonging to the same species as them.

These people are dumber than dumb! If a single one would off themselves, the median IQ of Mankind would rise by 10 whole points. These snail-skulled little rabbits. Would that a hawk pick any one of them up, drive its beak into their brain, and upon finding it rancid set them loose to fly briefly before spattering the ocean rocks with the frothy pink shame of their ignoble blood. I hope they all choke on the queasy, convulsing nausea of their own trite, foolish beliefs.

They must've all taken the blue pill and so have no choice now but to cling to the dream with every ounce of will and fiber of their being; NO choice whatsoever can possibly exist for them now. As far as I'm concerned their deranged, self-important, self-aggrandized, albeit unknowing and inexperienced, opinions, and tiny-fisted tantrums carry no more weight with me than that of a leprous desert rat, spinning rabidly in a circle, waiting for the bite of the snake?

I find them all to be even more despicable and contemptable than a putrescence mass, or walking vomit, i.e., it hold it in higher regard. They're spineless little worms deserving nothing but a most profound revulsion. Their worthless lives being now nothing more than a collossal monument to stupidity visible to the unaided eye on the utter and absolute other side of the universe.

Even if there was a choice, however, they absolutely can NOT take that choice; it would be all too much for them to bear. The the shock, horror, and utter revulsion at the realization of what they've done would not be merely compelling, but utterly and absolutely convincing that they MUST eat the gun.

I guess Obummer doesn’t want to talk about his bully pulpit or the rancor that George Bush endured for eight years by the Rat Party.

President Obama called out Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh as purveyors of "vitriol"

If any previous president got down to direct criticism by name of private citizens who disagreed with him, I can't remember it.

If anybody has examples of Bush, Clinton or some previous president doing so, I'm interested.

It seems to me that President Obama has created the climate with his actions. Reporting facts about what he has done lets the listeners and readers reach their own conclusions.

We know very little about Obama, his sources of funding, his writings, his grades, details about his birth. We do know that the health care legislation was passed against the will of the governed, and blindly by many congressmen who read not the thousands of pages of new law.

We do know that his friends all have Marxist, socialist, and anti-USA leanings. It would be nice if President Obama would actually address the substance of the concerns pointed out by talk show hosts, instead of complaining about the brave messengers of the people.

W had to contend with an overtly hostile mass media...nary a word.

This chestless little bitch has a few talk radio personalities to contend with, and he just can’t take it.

Yeah, in the mid-90’s Bill Klinton called some radio station in St. Louis while flying on AF1 and said that he didn’t have a 3-hour a day bully pulpit like Limbaugh. Later, then accusing talk radio of causing the OKC bombing.

Hey Obama, like one of your Dimrat predecessors said “if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen”

“overheated rhetoric”?

You mean “overheated rhetoric” like “ Barack, you’re destroying America, the last best hope of earth”? “Overheated rhetoric” like that?

“I do think that there is a tone and tenor that needs to change, where we can disagree without being disagreeable or making wild accusations about the other side. And I think that's what most Americans would like to see, as well.”

What a flaming hypocrite! He didn't mind listening to the crazy wild accusations spewed by Rev. Wright now did he? He certainly didn't mind hanging out with crazy terrorist Bill Ayers. BO’s lies are astounding.

I've despised Harry Smith for years. He's a despicable America hating commie.
