By 1980 we had been through one recession after another with an inflation rate that I watched shrink big 10 cent candy bars down to a miniature version for 50 cents. Three-bedroom, 11/2-bath homes went from $10,000 to $25,000 to $60,000. We had been through the Arab oil embargo followed by scary, periodic gas shortages. Beef shortages, toilet paper shortages. . .The huge sudden spikes in gold and silver as people scrambled to hoard a little tangible wealth in coming Mad Max post technological world. Then we abandoned Vietnam. During Jimmy Carter's tenure the Soviets took control of seven nations around the world in four years. I was going to vote for John Anderson simply because he seemed like a fine man. My wife said we should both vote for the same candidate so our conflicting ballots didn't cancel each other out. We both voted for Reagan. His soothing national voice might get us through the impending Apocalypse. Then Reagan was shot by a mentally ill man and Reagan cracked jokes in the emergency room. During that period I had an epiffany that changed the whole course of my existence

Thirty yearts later the time is rigt and conservatives are ready.

Please don't sink into dispair. WE WILL DO IT !!!

There’s a difference.

The mill stone of debt isn’t going to go away. Either the debt stays with us or our currency is no more.

We cannot escape it, and we are only accelerating the rate that we’re digging our grave as each day goes by.
