I firmy beleive that many members (and their families) of both the Senate and House have been threatened by violence or worse.

I believe he's implying that the threats come from the administration. Certainly, the administration has threatened political reprisals for Democrats who get out of line. If they are threatening violence, I think at least one congressman or senator would speak up.
