Kindergarten teacher: Woods lied about school race incident (says Tiger lied about racial abuse)
The New York Post ^ | April 2, 2010 | NY Post Staff

(edit)

In the book, the story Tiger told includes the tale of when he was beaten down in the playground by a group of racist white kids.

"I became aware of my racial identity on my first day of school, on my first day of kindergarten. A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'n-----' on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything," according to the book.

Decker said she has decided to address the issue five days after the book was released because she was not able to "get through to" Woods.

"I want a public apology and a private apology," she said.

Decker, who is also mentioned in a video about Tiger's life, said she's not looking for any money from Woods.

The retired teacher also said there was no way older students could ever enter the area where the kindergarten kids played.

"Teachers do very hard work. ... It is unfair to get this in return," said Allred, who does not plan to file a lawsuit in regards to the incident.

In addition, the former principal of the Cerritos Elementary School, in Cypress, Calif., where Tiger attended, said he has no knowledge of the incident.

A parent, Linda DaViega, who was always around the school at that time period, also said she has never heard of such an incident happening.

13-year-olds tying up a kindergartener, painting things on the wall? California has been multiracial for generations, so it’s not like he was the first dark-skinned kid in a school in Little Rock. It’s an insane story.

Well, maybe Allred the Dreaded Harpy will ask Tiger at his next soulful press conference.

At least he didn’t have sex with his kindergarten teacher.

But you know he was thinking about it.

>>>The retired teacher also said there was no way older students could ever enter the area where the kindergarten kids played. <<<

FWIW, this statement sounds like bull to me. Is there a 10 foot electrified, razor wire fence, with armed guards with Pit Bulls guarding the gate, between the sixth grade playground and the kindergarten playground?

Again, I’m not saying I believe Tiger, but IMHO this teacher is a least as full of it, as he is.

Gee. A minority makes false claims of racism. What’s next? The Sky is blue?

If scum bags like these say the sky is blue, I will go outside to see for myself.

Well, maybe Allred the Dreaded Harpy will ask Tiger at his next soulful press conference.

And perhaps he can also explain why his parents apparently did nothing at all when their child came home from school with 'the n-word' spray-painted on him.

This would have been worldwide front-page news for a 'Press' eager to burnish their liberal credentials and portray America as a 'racist nation'.

i think it’s more to it than that. The minorities get such accolades and media attention and fawning that it becomes an opiate, a need, they chase after all their life.

Didn’t the teacher say there was a separate play area for the kindergartners?

Well the “sex addiction” ploy hasn't salvage his public opinion so he is going for the old tried and true “race card” fix. We can't blame him for his extramarital affairs because it was his way of dealing with the pent up trauma of living in a racist society. Let me guess, next he'll be accepting an ebony award and going on marches with Al Sharpton, maybe convert to Islam, get some colorful African garb and change is name to Tigerak Owooda.

The teacher's delay makes sense to me.

The media would have covered up for Tiger and, she would have reason to believe, attacked her. I recall how the media fawned over Tiger. And if you cry racism, there is a special sympathy expressed by the media.

Also, she might not have wanted to get involved. Here is the most wonderful man in the world, beloved by the media, and he is super rich. Finally, as he was exposed, she just had enough.

>>>13-year-olds tying up a kindergartener, painting things on the wall? California has been multiracial for generations, so it’s not like he was the first dark-skinned kid in a school in Little Rock. It’s an insane story<<<

It is insane, but stuff like this does happen. I’m not sure what the racial make up of his school was, but if there were very few black kids, it is possible this could happen. The same thing is true of a white kid in a school that is nearly all black or all latino. Also, keep in mind this was 30 years ago. Despite all the race baiting, things have improved quite a bit since then.

Another scenario is this. Tiger tells a Barkley story about some white kids calling him racial slurs and maybe hitting him. Barkley embellishes it a bit (either intentionally or unintentionally) when he tells it to his ghostwriter. Then the ghostwriter exagerrates it a little more.

I will say this, IMO, there is a better chance that Tiger’s story is true than there is that the teacher’s claim of havign “migraines, high blood pressure and other ailments” and only refuting the story 5 years later because “she couldn’t get through to Tiger” (as opposed to it being because he is about to make a much hyped comeback after one of the most widely talked about scandals in history) is true.

Remember, when you consider the credibility of a teacher teacher, think UNION MEMBER. :)

Maybe she did not read the book by Barkely. whatever, her actions make sense to me. If she had taken on the then beloved and revered Tiger Woods, she likely would have been trashed. She sounded credible to me during the interview and made a good case.

Tiger Woods also lied during his mea culpa. He is a sociopath as can be seen from his actions and his lies.

Yes, the younger kids have their own play ground so the older kids would not have been able to torment him as he states. That is why I called Tiger a liar.

I want to move to your town. :) I grew up in a very nice neighborhood and kids did have access to spray paint. That doesn’t mean Tiger’s story is true, but it is totally feasible that the kids could have had the spray paint.
