Yea, that’s what I was thinking. How would a rotor shaft handle a 30-06 armor round. Bitch wouldn’t even know what hit him.

That main rotor mast is an awfully small target.

Much likelier hit: aim for the tail rotor, especially if the helicopter is at a hover or in slow flight, like when he’s looking for something or someone.

Loss of tail rotor effectiveness below translational lift airspeed will cause the aircraft to spin madly. The pilot has no choice but to dump main rotor thrust and a controlled crash is the best he can hope for.

However, be darn sure of your target.
