Correct. It stands to reason that they would siphon off the fine from your tax refund. But, it is a fine, not a tax, and there does not appear to be any authority given them to come after you if you simply have a balance due and do not include the fine in your check. Thay can audit you, of course. They can harrass you. But, without any authority to come after that fine, can they reallygarnish your wages of disturb your bank account? I don’t think so.

You've never had dealings with the IRS, have you?

When my EX-wife was still handling our finances, she assured me that she had been filing for us. Right up until the IRS started taking 15% of my weekly check...
