The local council has determined that a 14-year-old boy is not too young to participate in an undercover sting operation but too young to care for a Goldfish. Well that's it then...pull the plug on Britain and send it to the bottom of the channel.

Can English children still consume fish and chips?

Just curious on the status of animal protection laws on that situation.

I'm sorry, is this some kind of joke??
WE give gold fish away to little kids at 4H fun nights. We use them at home to feed other fish. My 14 year old hunts with me, carries his own rifle and takes care of his own game. He takes care of his own horse and dog.
I guess folks in the UK have simple LOST THEIR MINDS!!!

But Trafford Council in northern England defended the decision to prosecute, noting that the gerbil sold to the teenager with learning difficulties -- who was also 14 -- was put in a cup of coffee.

If I were a gerbil, I would prefer being accidentally dunked in a cup of coffee to some of the things the gay lobby are known to do with the little critters on purpose.

Goldfish are fish that are also used to feed other fish, so she was selling pet food to a kid, not fish. Do they want to starve fish eating pet fish...?

Also what about the child labour laws the “bobbies” broke by making a 14 year old kid “work” for the sting to take place in the first place.

Higgins and her son pleaded guilty at Trafford Magistrates' Court to selling an animal to a person aged under 16.

Hey UK FReepers out there, can a Brit get a jury trial on stuff like this or is it kangaroo court?

That 14-year-old-boy is subject to child labor laws. Were those laws observed?

Did the council take out proper accident and health insurance for him, to cover any injury that might occur on his undercover mission?

Were his parent notified in advance? Was the permission written, notarized and filed with the local court?

Did his homework suffer?

Did he experience retribution from other children on the school playground? Will the council pick up any costs for psychological counseling?

Is he experiencing any stress from bullying or smirking his playmates may be showing him?

Has the council offered his bully playmates some kind of intervention, to prevent this experience from leading to a life of crime? They were, after all, innocent bystanders until the council unexpectedly introduced a child undercover agent into their midst.

A news- and tyranny-hungry world wants to know!

At least they’re using their resources to root out the really dangerous people in society.

What those convicted should do is kill the judge, prosecutor, and police involved in the alleged crime, call it a “honor killing” and get off under Sharia law.

When I was in my early twenties, I owned seven pirhanas. Now, if you don't feed pirhana, they begin to eat each other, starting with the smallest and working up to the the largest.

Well, their favorite food was goldfish. I would buy 300 goldfish a month, at the beginning, when the pirhanas were only about the size of the young goldfish. Soon I had to start hatching the goldfish to support the pirhanas.

In the beginning, the goldfish could outrun the pirhanas, but the pirhannas loved their food alive. So, I would squeeze the goldfish's head until it made a small pop sound, then toss it in the water and it would flop around but not be able to actually swim. This way the pirhanas could do their ritual of swimming in a circle around the goldfish until the largest pirhana decided to attack. Once that happened, they all would attack and in just about two seconds, there was nothing but goldfish scales floating around. It was all very entertaining and was quite the conversation piece when company came over..lol.

The quantity of the goldfish the pirhanas demanded progressed to 600 goldfish a month and they had to be larger too and I would scrounge up any little living creatures I could to feed them.

I only owned them for about six months. By then they could take the meat off of the tip of a finger if you got it in the frenzy while they were eating their food.

In the beginning I bought the pirhanas for only $3.00 each. After six months I sold them for $65.00 each and I had two less than when I started, because I went on vacation for three days and the person who was supposed to feed them missed a day.

I guess the reason for telling this is that I suppose I would be serving a life sentence for cruelty to goldfish, if liberals had anything to do with it.

But I could certainly kill a million unborn and just born children and be heralded as a progressive hero, by the same demented people.

Another sterling example of what Great Britain isn’t Great anymore and why we must STOP looking to them as a role model.

Yet, girls under 16 can have an abortion without parental consent. Talk about an upside down country.

If a 14 year old is not capable of caring for a goldfish it is not the pet stores that need a comeuppance and a heavy hand.
