He kept wearing his “hog leg” to town even after the law was passed forbidding it. The county had to make a special visit and asked him kindly to not take his gun to town.
This was years ago.
I also remember when some teenagers went through the country side bashing mail boxes. When they blabbed about it they were told that one of the boxes was his and he was looking for whoever did it. The kids went to his house cash in hand scared crapless and apologized.
