One of the driving forces in elections nowadays, is the "youth" vote. The young are very idealistic, don't know squat about history or thinking logically, want a bunch of free stuff, and will vote for whoever is "cool". You've got to have that group energized when you enter into a campaign. I'm convinced that what helped BJ Clinton win was going on Arsenio Hall and playing the saxophone. I was in my 20's at the time, and even though I didn't trust the Democrats, even I felt that was just "too cool".
Feh... I’d have to analyze the Obama election results pretty carefully before I put much stock in the children. They may or may not register, may or may not vote, depending. La-dee-da. Fiddle-dee-dee. Whole new crop o’ children every time. Pretty hard to predict what they’re going to do or not do. Will zero still seem cool, or will unemployment have destroyed their families so they hate him? Or, will they be the informers of the obama jugend?
Sounds like the public schools are doing their job.
