No, it sounds as if the writer is blaming "politics and money" for corrupting the people responsible for Climategate. Like the episode of All in the Family where Meathead made a phone call and used a fictitious name to secretly send a message to a friend long distance without paying the phone company a dime. When Archie pointed it out as "stealing", Meathead, self-righteously claims he is a "victim of the system."..............
