PHOENIX (AP) _ Cochise County investigators say a prominent southeast Arizona rancher likely was killed by an illegal immigrant but there's no evidence to suggest there was any confrontation that led to the shooting.
The body of 58-year-old Robert Krentz was located before midnight Saturday on his 35,000 acre ranch about 35 miles northeast of Douglas after his brother reported that he had lost radio contact with Krentz earlier in the day.

I could start with the wolves.
During the Clinton administration we were overrun by illegals. Cochise County Arizona is ground zero for illegal activity and incursions by the Mexican military. It didn’t get any better under Bush or O. I’ve said for a long time there’s a behind the scenes move by self serving people/politicians to encourage this.
I don’t have a problem with shooting wolves, go for it.
Makes you wonder who is profiting on keeping the drug lines open.
And EVERY congress for the last fifty years.
This is an invasion, not an immigration issue! People are dying. This is not a peaceful transgression! Action must be taken. We must enforce our laws already on the books to remove the benefits of being here, and we should spend a few extra bucks on the border to help police against these violent offenders.
Wrong end of the state...
The shooter was tracked back to the Mexican border.
Trackers did hunt him down - and lost him at the border.
hmmm....
In memory of Robert Krentz, vote AGAINST McCain.
Well, I guess the legendary Lieutenant can stay retired, then.
