"This is an example of radical and extremist fringe groups which can be found throughout our society," said Andrew Arena, FBI special agent in charge.
"The FBI takes such extremist groups seriously, especially those who would target innocent citizens and the law enforcement officers who protect the citizens of the United States."

"Just ask Andrew G. Arena. The new FBI Special Agent in Charge in the heart of Islamic AmericaMichigangot his new job that way. One of his closest associates told Detroit Newsistan fabricator David Shepardson:
Alhamdillullah, Abu Arena Has Made the Hajj to D-Mecca
He knows all the aspects of the community, noting his outreach with the Muslim community in Detroit and New York.
Yup, thats the community to the FBI. Not you Infidels. Just the extremist Muslims who support terrorist groups like Hezbollah and HAMAS.
And, oh yeah, Arena is a Lions and Tigers fan, too, which everyone knows makes you a great law enforcement honcho. Right?
Alhamdillullah (praise Allah), Andrew Arena is here. Whats that brown on the end of his nose?
Interesting post. Very interesting.
BUMP
....good job FBI...now go take down the Muslim Jihad training camps in the US.
I smell a setup.
Drudge had it pegged with his “Big Sis” headline.

This whole thing does not pass my smell test. Even now, there is a lot of discussion about what this group “intended” to do, and very little about what exactly they did to provoke this kind of response. That’s not acceptable.
If you have read the novel “Patriots”, it talks extensively about operations against Politicians, law enforcement and even the US Military. Having read that book, does that make me a “Christian extremist” as well??
If this group was training using a future potential scenario as the basis for a series of operational drills, is that a terrorist event?? There are a lot of people right here at FR who speculate about what to do if a new revolution came about, and whether local law enforcement would be friend or foe. Is that illegal too??
I smell a rat. A big fat rat, and it keeps it’s cheese at the US Justice Department. If you read these published reports with the slightest grain of salt, it is obvious that there are a lot of allegations here done up properly in nice, pretty, official sounding legalese, but in the end, exactly what did these people actually do that breaks the law?? Sedition in any form is about as serious a charge there is, so I want to know specifically and in detail what “seditious conspiracy” the FBI cooked up.
Exactly what crime was committed with a firearm? TV news is reporting this as if mere possession of firearms were the issue, but some of these people are charged with major firearms violations, and apparently committing a crime with a gun.
And I certainly need to hear a lot more about this FBI SAIC, Andrew Arena. If he has an agenda, he is in the perfect place to carry it out, and he could be a much bigger threat to the people of Michigan than any militia group is.
This gets more disturbing as it continues to develop, and I have more questions than answers now than I did over the weekend when this first broke loose...
Sounds like Arena maybe a first rate rumpswab.
He takes the old adage “To get ahead you have to give head” seriously
But then that’s been bureau policy since J Edgar and Clyde.
This is meant to silence opposition. The spin is in...
Does anyone else have contingency plans in place? Did you tell anyone else about them? Did you maybe get together and do some war gaming with friends?
YOU ARE NEXT ON THEIR LIST.
Bank on it.
Thanks for the post
**** UPDATE, 12/28/06: The Christian Science Monitor has even more disturbing news about Andrew G. Arena. It appears that just a month ago, with the New York FBI, he was trying to change American popular opinion about Islam. Is he a federal law enforcement official or a dhimmi change agent for jihad? Hard to tell:
The FBI found many such misperceptions about Islam among its agents as well, according to Andrew Arena, the special agent in charge of the New York FBI office. And so, as the bureau began a concentrated effort to reach out to the Muslim community, education became one of its first priorities. At the FBI Academy and in ongoing field training, agents are now taught about the Muslim faith its basic tenets and things like the difference between Shiites and Sunnis.
Its helped to make our agents more culturally sensitive to the concerns of not only the Muslim community, but all of the communities that we deal with, says Mr. Arena.
Andrew Arenasent to Detroit by the FBI NOT to investigate Islamic terrorism, but to help change our perceptions about its operatives. No wonder we are losing the war on terror.
