WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. Police sources tell FOX 5 that radio communications are down citywide in the District, and police officers on the street have no way to receive or respond to calls via radio.

I live in a much smaller town than DC and I can’t remember the last time I saw a Cop using a radio....all cell phones...

Settle down. We don’t know what is happening yet. I hope it’s internal incompetence and not interference from outside.
As for Homeland Security, I don’t think they run DC police, do they? And if some nutjobs who call themselves a “militia” were planning to murder policemen, I applaud whoever foiled the plot.
How could anyone feel otherwise??

OK, so a few years back I was driving through DC with my BIL the cop, and his then 10 year old son. We passed a nondescript brick building surrounded by double chain-link and LOTS of razor wire.
The kid asked "Daddy, is that the jail?"
Good question, actually. It did look rather like a jail.
But it wasn't.
It was a Verizon switching center and truck park.
Fence was to keep the goblins out, not keep them in.
