OK Krugman. I want to save money now. How about you kill yourself, and set the example for us?

Simply snugging the business end of a .22 up behind the ear of every American past the age of say, 60, and pulling the trigger would save us a ton of money, too. Is that what Krugman's really advocating for?

Krugman is a real, leftwing dirtbag. I guess that explains the Nobel Prize he was given.

Yeah, might save money and might cost people’s lives
but your saved money will go to a good communist cause.

Here’s what no one wants to face up to, we cannot afford the standard of health care that we have become accustomed to having.
Sooner or later the system will fail and we will have only ourselves to blame for screwing up a good thing.

Your freedoms have been bought for a price and you were complacent enough not to stand up when your "mic was still working".
Don't think of yourself more highly than the government thinks of you, or you may get your termination notice before you're ready.
I guess you'll just have to make plans accordingly and be ready whenver they say you're ready to get in the Soylent Green line.

Here is hoping that Krugman gets his day soon in one of them as they tell him his treatment is too expensive for his age.

Congress has exempted itself and the Executive branch (and.presumably, the Federal judiciary too) but I wonder if Comrade Krugman has been exempted as well.

I've read that the people under the rule of Vlad the Impaler had very few sick and disabled people because when they got that way he killed 'em. His people were physically fit, young and employable. Talk about saving money....
I've also heard that today Vlad is highly respected in Romania. Wow.

I’ve always been of the opinion that the real intent of this ‘reform’ was to take away the linch pin of Medicare - no perameters or restraints were put on costs to keep elders living. Krugman’s statements confirm that belief.

Great. Obama said that insurance companies would no longer run our health care system. "Insurance companies won't get between you and your doctor!"
He's right. Insurance companies won't get between me and my doctor - the government will.

The irony is so rich here. The reason we have all the big expensive prodedures and testing overkill is that doctors do what they can to cover their butts and not get sued.
Then the govt tells us the new healthcare reform will make medicine more compassionate and focused on quality. Isn’t that what we’re doing right now, pulling out all the stops for treatment? But that’s too expensive and unnecessary and we can’t do that anymore.
And around the wheel we go...
