Is this what Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chief Diversity Officer Mark Lloyd meant when he said (on camera) Venezuelan thug dictator Hugo Chavez (take that, Sean Penn) had begun "to take very seriously the media in his country"- while praising Chavez's "incredible...democratic revolution?"
The Associated Press (AP) late Friday night reported "Chavez criticizes US as arrests stir concern." Which plays down the lede in the headline, but gets right into it in the story itself.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday defended the arrest of a major TV channel owner, calling him a criminal and denying the government is carrying out an assault on press freedom.

Yep..they’ll be arresting all Conservative Talk Radio hosts before too long here too.
Chavez and Castro both needs to be taken out. I can not see why a freedom fighter has not done both of them in already.
But then I look at our country which in the history of mankind was at one time the most free nation in the world and how we have let the democrats take our freedoms away, and not anything but words being done,
Shame on us!
The first step is our own "reichstag fire" that allows the left to move against us. Maybe the militia situation in Michigan, probably something later, and more dramatic. My guess, just speculation, is a politician's death, either by assassination from a crazed gunman (Kennedy) or by accident (ie: Paul Wellstone) that is whipped up by the government and an all too compliant and subservient media as a reason to clamp down on free speech.
It's an old formula. Seen before in history, and no doubt repeated again in the future. Why, because it works, at least in the short term.
Nah, Freepers first.
Sean Penn was/is where for comment?
Read the anti Tea Party editorials in the NY Times and then review the comments from readers. You will appreciate the level of intolerance the leftists have for free speech and the readiness of a segment of our population to silence voices of opposition.
And that's talk radio in a nutshell.
