Just because you pay off the mafia, doesn't mean you like the mafia.

Businesses giving to politicians that they find ideologically aligned I understand. Businesses giving to both parties I also understand.... and I don't like it.

Microsoft used to brag about not having any lobbyists. Then during the Clinton administration they were brought up on anti-trust charges. They have lobbyists and give generously to BOTH parties now. They learned their lesson.

Have we, the people, learned the same lesson?

Yes they have. They are moving their companies to China, India, and East Asia in general where they are perfectly welcome and Bill is lauded.
