There's a coal field that'd choke the crab nebula.
Same in North Dakota, South Dakota, parts of Wyoming, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, and so on.
Utah isn't the only place in this country with coal.
The redesignation of the low-sulfur coalfields is the issue you're talking about ~ not Saudi intrigue.
The redesignation can be changed and the coal thrown open to mining.
I'd prefer just giving the whole place to Utah.
Illinois has enough coal and the right type of coal to create more coal diesel than the Saudis have in oil.
You forgot Montana. Hefty coal reserves there too.
And there’s oil shale in Nevada and western UT.
I respectfully disagree to a point - I think it is a little of both.
There’s also a whole lot of natural gas under New York.
If we were to have a weird tectonic movement though, don’t come to visit. All of that plus lava = no more New York.
clean coal, high sulfur coal (refuse to call it ‘dirty’) people need energy. With no energy is no ‘progress’ so I wish those progressivists would put THAT in thier pipe and smoke it.
