What did the breeze ever do to deserve being shot?
9 x 18mm Makarov, 97mm (3.82") bbl.
First, here's a pic of my "new" sidearm (had to shop out the serial numbers for obvious reasons):
Shot 30 rnds of Russkie 100 grn FMJ yesterday. The first ten were all over the place and I was not happy with the gun. Then I realized that I was the problem. I readjusted my grip and the next ten were much better and the gun felt much more comfortable.
Having knocked the rust off my sidearm shooting skills with the first twenty, the last ten grouped about 3" @ 15 yds. Pretty darn good, considering the sad state of my atrophied sidearm skills.
A humbling experience and reminded me once again that shooting skills are quickly lost. Of course, I need more practice, which means more trips to the range and killing more paper. Dammit. ;-)
My overall opinion: The CZ 82 is a fine handgun. Recoil is minimal for a 9mm small gun and accuracy is great (assuming I can clean up my act). I am confident that my wife can comfortably shoot this gun with no problem.
Side note: My wife took one look at it and said, "It looks like it's been through a war." I replied, "It has honey -- the Cold War." The finish is the usual Soviet bloc military quality, but it's a shooter, and that's all I care about. That and it was only $170 + BS.
BTW British Radway Green .308 is on special. I cant think where .. I saw it at like $300 for 800 rds
Simmer down.. No harm was done.
Hi bravotu, I must admit to keeping my news time to a minimun on Sundays.
Last I heard Tancredo was down there & called upon Napolitano to send our guardsmen to the border.
He was actually, I understand, trying to get help for an illegal.
They even killed his dog.
I didn’t know you were a handgunner. Your first?
No, not my first — well, if you consider a .22 a real handgun. lol
I’ve shot .45 and .357, but I don’t have those. This one’s for CC.
My Local Shop has 3 Mak 9x18 at $320 a pop, just Like Yours.
9x18 ?
Different than Regular 9mm?
It's a shooter, and ergonomically it is comfortable for almost everyone, Man, Woman,Child, Left hand, Right hand...
I hope you don't feel mislead. I think this is the best value on the market today.
: PS I would have liked to see your face when you looked up that polygonal barrel LoL.
Who/What is,
breeze...?
Yes, 9x18 Mak is a millimeter shorter in case length but .936mm in dia vs .916mm
Tragic,
I Read same,
Yes, 9x18 Mak is a millimeter shorter in case length but .936mm in dia vs .916mm
Tried to couldn’t work it out. Maybe I should try to sell pipe bombs to make money?
I thought Mark from Michigan was out of prison and got nailed again, but selling pipe bombs to the Feds. Even I can guess how to make one, never done it, but it can’t be to hard.
Weird storys of the Michigan militia.
What I Thought,
Beretta Has a 9mm ,$350 but LE only ,Dang!
*sigh* I haven’t had a CC license sine 1989. Merryland CC licenses are as rare as a “real” pro life democrat.
I've been trying out compact weapons for concealed carry & was shooting a S&W MTP9. I sent Sonboy out for some more ammo & he came back with a free rental on this beauty....
I think the last case I bought was $150.
The one before that was $50, but that was a jethro deal
