I think they’ll have a hard time doing this, given they barely got health care through. The people getting rammed on this know that this makes it even more likely they will be voted out.

With unemployment as high as it is? this is the 1 thing the Democrats could do to insure that they’re thrown out of office. You can’t push the “we need the illegals because of jobs not being filled” argument anymore, Americans are desperate enough to take anything now.

If the people hated Obamacare they will absolutely loathe this because it is a job stealer — it gives the illegales a real reason to stay and never go back home, and puts millions more leeches on welfare. I don’t believe that it will be able to go into a reconciliation bill during THIS Congress.

I'm thinking it will be easier as they will get support from some Republicans like McCain.

They have nothing to loose and 20 million votes to gain.
They have no choice but try to pass amnesty before November if they wish to stay in power.
