CNN put “INCITING VIOLENCE?” on screen under video of Sarah Palin earlier in the day Saturday in Searchlight, Nevada, as anchor Don Lemon announced:
Sarah Palin takes on one of the highest ranking Democrats right in his own backyard, all while causing another uproar by urging tea parties to quote “reload.” And the question is, are comments like that inciting violence and name-calling over the health care bill and the like?
In the subsequent segment, titled “DANGEROUS RHETORIC: When heated words incite threats & violence,” CNN’s panel agreed Obama’s political opponents are inciting violence and are motivated by racism -- undeterred by Palin’s assurance, which CNN played:
When I talk about it's not a time to retreat, it's a time to reload, what I'm talking about -- now, media, try to get this right, okay? That's not inciting violence. What that's doing is trying to inspire people to get involved in their local elections and these upcoming federal elections. It's telling people that their arms are their votes. It's not inciting violence. It's telling people, don't ever let anybody tell you to sit down and shut up, Americans.
Lemon demanded: “Is it responsible for someone to say that? Especially a leader, considering the anger that's going on right now?”

From the report I read about Dingy Harry earlier today, it sounds like he is not that good with a shotgun. 6 shots and 2 clay birds hit. Pretty poor shooting. Indicates lack of experience.
I think the article exudes intimidation, promotes fear and implies that extreme violence will eventually be inflicted upon those folks who don’t just sit down and shut up about Obama’s lack of presenting his long form birth certificate, the radical and unconstitutional Health Care Reform legislation, etc.
Words like ”Imagine the deafening report of a mortar as it strikes the ground a 150 feet in front of you, the overpressure enough to shatter your teeth and perforate an ear drum.” and “I hope some of you heed my words and cool the rhetoric…”, are meant to have a chilling effect on any reader contemplating defending his or her constitutional rights.

The attacks on Palin and the Tea Partiers is particularly troubling in light of the arrests of the Christian Militia members, this week-end, for making verbal threats against Islam. The Obama administration is moving closer and closer to the Canadian regulation of speech.

The article on Drudge said that a Muslim cleric claimed that they were arrested for having made threats against Muslims, but today we hear that they were arrested for planning attacks on police officers at a funeral. It’s odd because the arrests were also made at a funeral. I think that we will have to wait for the truth about this one to come out. I won’t hold my breath, though.
