Whitman told to shut up with annoying ads
FODHS | March 28, 2010 | G.Karp

Ever See An Ad That Was So Irritating It Caused You To Change the Channel So You Did Not Have To Watch It? The negative circus ads Whitman is running about Poizner were horrible the first 300 times. Fingernails on a chalkboard, cover the ears time, reach for the remote and Somebody tell Whitman to....

I agree..every second here it’s “Why you can’t trust Steve Poizner, reason 14, reason 39, reason 7” its like Ok I get it I get it, I can’t trust him, but I don’t trust Meg either. You know how annoying it is to watch a Laker game with every commercial about how you can’t trust him LOL

Pretty much why I'm totally off the 'grid', so to speak, and loving it" to quote Maxwell smart.

Nothing on my screen I'm not totally in control of.

Netflix, etc. for entertainment, entrainment, etc. and tightly controlled internet surfing for me.

Even if some 'evil' image accidentally pops up I look away and click with the speed and veracity of Lot's wife's husband!

My papa taught me that when someone says you can’t trust someone the person making the accusation turns out to be the person you can not trust.

The ads have a ‘Jib Jab’ quality to them which in California ( particularly Northern California) plays well.

Poisner has done little and said less. He had the opportunity to come out strong for particular conservative issues ( like the bicameral legislature, no new taxes, etc etc) and deliberately chose not to. He is drowning in his own juices. That’s what happens

Looks like her desired effect is being reached. It’s not only got people afraid to vote for Poizner, but it’s turning off any one who isn’t committed to her cause. If you can get people angry enough to tune out on the process then your small cadre of bots will have control of the field. Looks like great politics to me. If we stopped trying to offer reasonable explanations for Obama, stuck our fingers in our ears and called him a racist pedophile at every turn and in every poster, pretty soon no matter the arguments, he would be known as a racist pedophile and not electable. Populist politics at it’s best.

I know nothing about Poizner other than the fact that I'm voting for him just to shut Meg Whitman up.

She has run the worst and most nasty campaign in the history of California.

You make a good point. Right now, in this election, I have no idea who to vote for. When I first heard of Poizner, and his ads about how he is against the liberal agenda/illegal immigration, I thought, WOW he might be a good choice, but then someone had a thread about him here and they said he was not good, and I know that Meg is buddy buddy with Van Jones, or so I read, so at the end, who is a good choice?

That is such an insult to JibJab. Are you the ad exec that sold Whitman the idea? That they are anything like JibJab is totally rediculas.

And what about Whitman? Did she use her mega bucks to advance the issues you care about. Not hardly. Poisner is seriously outspent but his few ads at least say what he will do on some issues. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter I guess, just give them negative and they will love you for it.

I don’t trust Whitman, and I am not really impressed with Poizner. I will vote for him in the primary, and vote for Whitman in the general. That being said, there is one anti Poizner ad that cracks me up every time.

Its a pleasure to not have the secular crud blaring in your home isnt it.

I went down to Ford for service and the View came blaring on.

I asked the other fellow in the waiting area if I could please turn.....

I punched in any number and got the Chicago News (we live on the Left Coast).

Left and came back with second rig for service and someone kindly found the travel channel and I enjoyed a chat with another woman on how wonderful no tv is and found we both watch the DVDs from the Teaching Company.

Having no tv (except Catholic programming) during lent has hugely impacted my life.

One more week and my team mate here will be back to watching his tv shows.

Not bad as he doesnt watch the really distasteful shows.

Unless you consider that fellow who eats odd foods around the globe distasteful..: )

If CA elects her; they will be getting a really bad deal. She is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Do they call female wolves the same thing they call female dogs?

Probably a more accurate description. The Democrats will have her for lunch.

She’s nothing but Arnold in a skirt.

I won’t vote for her, either. I’ll take my chances with Poizner.
