The MSM is the propaganda arm of the Left. Just as they have been hyping the “unintended acceleration” problem of Toyota in order to help Govt. Motors and its UAW allies, they are now seeking to slander the Pope, under whose leadership the Catholic Church has taken a stand (albeit too little and too late) against 0bamacare and its provision for govt. funding of abortion.
Just part of the picture, imho. The Church has taken a solid stand against 'normalizing' homosexuality and 'gay marriage' is definitely out. The MSM has that little reason to attack the Catholic Church as well.
The Church will not yield, which is fine by me. Martin Luther and John Calvin would be aghast at the twisting of some of their ecclesiastical progeny.
