This is a side trip. He is on the way to meet with Russian President Dimitri Mevidvev in regards to the nuclear treaty. A-Stan was just there for him to visit.

” After an overnight flight from Washington, the president landed in Afghanistan for a stay of just a few hours, all in darkness.
He flew by helicopter from Bagram Air Field to the capital, where he was meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and with his Cabinet, at the presidential palace.”
” He also was to speak with American troops. Obama was to be in the country for only a few hours before heading back to Washington. “
Rush Limbaugh has spent more time in Afghanistan than Barry has.

I just talked to hubby who is IN Kabul right now and he didn’t know anything about it. Must have been an invitation-only “rally.”

When will we be bombarded with pics of the troops he visited with? And how many of them will be ordered to meet him?

Most likely the real reason for this meeting is so that Obastard can meet with the folks he considers to be his true allies in afghanistan - the Taliban - meeting with Karzai and the US troops is just window-dressing to disguise the true reason for the trip.
