Rubio’s speech at CPAC was the very best one. The conference went downhill from there. CPAC needs to jazz it up a little bit imo. Rubio was the high point. There should have been many more.

You were at CPAC? I'm sorry we didn't meet in person! :o)

I couldn't disagree more about "CPAC going downhill". My husband and I and four friends attended our 8th consecutive CPAC last month and - as usual - it was informative and enjoyable (except for that bogus straw poll).

I agree Marco Rubio's speech was a high point, but there were also amazing speeches/appearances by Michele Bachmann (her speech reduced us to tears), Col. Allen West (running for Congress in Florida's 22nd district), Sen. Jim DeMint, John Bolton, Andrew Breitbart, J.C. Watts, J.D. Hayworth, Phyllis Schlafly, Leader John Boehner, Rep. Joshua Mandel (OH), Jason Mattera (author of Obama Zombies), Mike Pence, VP Dick Cheney and daughter Liz Cheney, Rick Santorum, Amity Shlaes (author of The Forgotten Man), Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Gov. Bob McDonnell (VA), Newt Gingrich, Bob McEwen (former OH Congressman), John Fund, Ann Coulter, Michael Barone, Dick Armey, Sen. Scott Brown, Herman Cain, Eric Cantor, Rep. Steve King, Hon. Michael Williams (TX), Hon Chuck DeVore (the conservative running for Barbara Boxer's seat in CA), Star Parker, Rep. Tom Price (GA), Hon. John Ashcroft, Rep. Darrell Issa, Anita MonCrief, former ACORN employee and brave whistleblower (and newly converted conservative!), Steven Crowder of PJTV, Jonah Goldberg, speeches by numerous members of Tea Parties, including Dana Loesch of the St. Louis Tea Party, the list goes on... And - like him or not - we greatly enjoyed Glenn Beck's speech.

At CPAC 2010 there were numerous panels, side-sessions, film screenings and the Tea Party Express (of recent Searchlight, Nevada fame) threw a "tea party" in the atrium of the Marriott, free for anyone who happened to walk into the hotel... they rocked the place!

In no way has CPAC been going downhill, IMO...
