I expect that Obama will pressure Israel to disarm as a “goodwill” gesture to Iran. The amazing thing is that some Israelis will be more than happy to march into the proverbial “gas chamber” if Obama decrees it.
I would disagree with that. Netanyahu is probably more conservative than your average Republican and was voted in by the Israeli people.
American Jews are another mattter, and they are still quite liberal. Obama is making so many different enemies recently, it could really be a blow out in 2010, including Jews who no longer contribute to Democrats (already happening) and then start moving to the GOP, as in 1980.
