The Bible does say that its easier for a camel to go throught the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into heaven.

HOWEVER, the bible does NOT say that a rich man cannot get into heaven and it does NOT say that government should force him into heaven.

Christianity is all about free choice and the freedom to face the spiritual consequences of our choices.

Don't remember where in the O.T. I read it, maybe proverbs or psalms, but it says the rich man if his cause is just should be given justice against against the poor man before the judge...Poor is not a virtue, nor is wealth a vice..

The Eye of the Camel was one of the entrances to the holy city and you could only use it is you were on foot, and a camel cannot crawl through the doorway..

The New Testament also has parables about three men given equal talents. One does literally nothing. He gets his just reward (punishment). One makes only a meager return on the investment and likewise suffers punishment. But a third invests wisely and works hard (i.e. strives to be rich) and for that vigilence, diligence and lack of laziness (the antithesis of socialism, entitlement and Christian liberation theology) THAT recipient of the original "talents" is rewarded handsomely and given a place of honor.

Libs can never explain this element of Basic Christianity away.
