They lied to me in order to get me to join the LDS church. NO church should do that.

Totally agree. Churches have been lying to people for ages, but that doesn’t make it right. I have yet to meet a pastor who doesn't claim to know things that he really doesn’t.

Religion is a personal discovery process. Beware of those who would deceive you--there are plenty of them in "Christianity" as well as in Mormonism.

Thanks for the scriptures, by the way. I will study them carefully and draw my own conclusions.

I have met several pastors that do not fit your description.

And I know there are deceptions and heretics in mainstream Christianity, they are not Christians either.

And it is NEVER about “Religion”, that is a mistake too many people make. It is about Christ, a relationship (inward faith), not religion (outward acts).

I am very aware of deceptions and test everything against the Bible. I was suckered once (by the Mormons when I was 16) it WILL NOT happen again.

Faith is personal but not subjective. It is very easy to fall into the trap of ‘all roads lead to God’, that is simply not true.

My experience is in Mormonism so that is what I fight. I am wondering why you put the term Christianity in quotes.

May I ask your religion, if you have one?
