McCain will never be a tea partier! He is only acting conservative to try and save his Senate seat! I am quite tired of him and his “reaching across the aisle” attitude!
I just now checked your FB page for photos, don’t see any yet. I will check back later, but thanks in advance for thinking of all of us poor folks who can’t be there. I am so envious I can’t stand it. Several of my freeper friends are there and I am not!
Have freepers set up a meet-up place?
Thanks again for the photos and this thread. I am there in spirit.
Fox reporting now...
LOL. Live stream just made an announcement that was a Woodstock (without the brown acid) flashback...
“If you parked along the road your vehicle will be towed...”
I am really excited to see all the patriots there at Searchlight. Whoo Hoo!!!!
We’re with you in spirit. Enjoy and thank you for the live post!
I got question any Freepers meet this guy LOL!

Sun up in Searchlight" from Hildy's facebook page. Looks early, I'd be a little blurry eyed, too! Thanks Hildy!
His [McCain's] immediate problem is the challenge from within for his own Senate seat. He doesnt want to be gone at the same time Harry goes. He wants to remain and repeal/replace the awful legislation that was just rammed through. There has been a sea change. McCain wants to be a Tea Partier.
McCain did give a rousing promise to help stop the Health Control Bill (this was the day before the Chicago street thugs crammed it though with the purchased help of their stooges). He also promised that there would be parliamentary actions the Republicans could and would use, which they did but were steamrollered over as we saw.
I haven't heard him comment on repeal, but if you say he did, I won't doubt you. The thing is that JD will do every positive thing McCain would do and do it in a stronger way. He is NOT a reacher across the aisle. Also, JD will NOT do the negative things McCain will do.
I strongly disagree with you that McCain wants to be a Tea Partier. He DOES want to co-opt the Tea Party movement and some of the organizers of some Tea Parties will go along with that. The sea change you refer to in McCain is strictly pre-primary because he knows he will lose in AZ if he doesn't pretend to be conservative. Whether he wins or loses, he will go back to who he really is right afterward and that was chillingly obvious at the TP I went to.
The organizers at the one I attended may have hoped to promote McCain and the audience was largely excited and very welcoming to him to begin with, but FAIR questions were allowed (gotta give credit, especially when giving discredit as well) and were not prescreened. Very little was said about Palin at least while I was there--I had to leave about an hour early.
The Palin reference I saw went as follows: McCain was asked about Cap and Trade especially now that the hoax on AGW was exposed, energy independence, etc. and he launched into a long screed about how we need nuclear and how, despite the fact that "all of us want to decrease carbon emissions", he wouldn't be voting for C&T because of the state of the economy. (I expect that as soon as the NYT pronounces an improvement on the economy, he'll feel free to vote yes on C&T--especially if the August primary is over WHICHEVER WAY IT GOES.)
When the questioner at the end of that campaign speech asked, what about drilling for oil?, McCain got very sarcastic and said, "Oh yeah. Drill, baby, drill. I remember that." He looked and sounded like he would have liked to spit on the floor IMO. Then he went on and repeated his nuclear thingie (pretty safe as most of us agree on that one and it's also safely in the future instead of helping us right now) and added in solar, wind... Never did face the question about drilling.
There were several exchanges on other subjects (including illegal aliens) where he was just as busy ignoring the actual question and pimping for himself instead of answering. The house got quieter and quieter with each evasion and obvious anti-conservative position.
On immigration when he was finally pinned down and had to give some kind of answer, he said we need to control the border and set up carefully controlled programs for guest workers who'll do the work Americans don't want to do, and we'll have to deal with other questions later... Again, after the primary whichever way it goes, he'll be right back to leading the charge for AMNESTY.
These are just a few of the revealing responses he made when he wasn't allowed to evade. I'm pretty sure he caused several hundred people who were clearly intending to vote for him to reconsider. TG!
Live Feed From Searchlight, NV
There is sound but it has been comming and going and depends on when Fox is going live on air I assume.
More from Hildy's facebook page. Hahaha! Good one
Please email me your cell phone number..Tracy is there and wants to meet up with you.
Shannon Bream said there will be LIVE coverage of the Tea Party Express rally on Fox News starting at 3:30pm EDT, 12:30 PDT.
The rally actually starts at 12 noon PDT... you may want to check in with Fox News then. Nothing about today's Tea Party in Searchlight on C-SPAN's schedule, btw.
I believe that this is a “pay it forward” mission for Palin. Being a political N00B she needs to make sure she has credits with McCain and his old school network to keep them at bay before 2012. She’s taking her licks now by supporting him so that he supports her (openly or quitely by directing people, assets, etc.) for her run. We’ll forget all about this shortly after Mccain loses or wins. If he wins, he owes her, if he loses, she “tried” and is owned a favor. IMO
Yeah Joe, you effin' moron! (My caption not Hildy's)
