Water drives the finances of partisan politics in California.

Democrats receive funding from a broad source of liberal businessmen. Republicans however, have a monopoly on agribusiness donations from the great central valley.

Democrats have devised an effective plan to dry up that source of Republican funding. Cut off their water. Drive these Republican donors out of business or substantially reduce their discretionary income.

Yes, there was bipartisan support of agriculture in California's Congressional delegation until the Obama administration (Salazar) refused to provide relief and suggested California Democrats should fall into line.

With developers being high on that list.

Republicans however, have a monopoly on agribusiness donations from landowners in the great central valley.

Democrats have devised an effective plan to dry up that source of Republican funding. Cut off their water. Drive these Republican donors out of business off their land or substantially reduce their discretionary income. Buy it cheap for development.

There, fixed it.

The plan is, lots of eaters beholden to the elite, with no food production allowed. Food will come from abroad at a stiff price at the requirement of absolute obedience.
