Freepers like to worry about a Phoenix like rising of the Russian military when the real import of this announcement is overlooked.
The revival of the Russian arms industry is as a job creator. Russia makes nothing else well enough to have exports. All the weapons will be for sale. While we may never meet this tank crewed by Russians, it might show up in Iran or Venezuela or Nigeria.
Ok, on second thought considering the size, caliber of gun and rear turret placement I’d say this is an SPA unit akin to the US’s Challenger program -which was scrapped.
Every Democrat President since Woodrow Wilson has done the same. They always disarm us and the Republicans have to rebuild while they are in power. Clinton was as bad as Obama in bleeding the military. Carter cut the Navy in half and Clinton cut the rest by half. Under Clinton the military would even train because of lack of ammo and spare parts for their equipment. When we invaded the Balkins to save the Muslims the Apache helicopters were falling out of the sky or were unable to get off the ground. That was a great embarrassment to the perfumed Prince, Wesley Clark.
During peace time the Democrats load up the budget with "entitlements" leaving little money for the military. What do you think this health care legislation will do to our military budget.
It is a relief to see a shred of common sense interjected.
Disarmament of America by design - Obama the frontman is doing the dirty work for his elitist handlers because to them, the United States has served its purpose.
We’d come up with an asymmetric response - the M8 Buford light tank and the M1A3/4 upgraded Abrams.
Or M1A2 poison.
Producing new-build upgraded Abrams is less expensive than a 5th Gen heavy MBT.
The T-95, if serially produced, could outclass the M1A2.

In the event of WWIII, thanks to Obama, the United States would be on the losing edge and would use nukes first. Then the enemy would follow suit with their own nukes and what do you get?
A nuclear holocaust.
This indicates to us that the T-95 is the first Russian MBT to closely emulate Western tank design philosophy. Its predecessors had a fatal design flaw: Storage of the ammo in the same compartment as the crew.
That design flaw led to the turrets of Soviet and Russian designed tanks getting blown 50 feet high on the air and killing the crew instantaneously.
Well, it looks like they corrected that flaw because they are going to show it off extremely soon.
But remember, we do not want to make the fatal error of underestimating the enemy, in this case, a 5th Gen Russian MBT.
What if T-95s entered the battlefield and they prove to be a Wunderpanzer (German: wonder tank)? The cavalry generals would pay the price for the deaths of so many Abrams tank crews.
