ROTFL. No, being of reasonably sound body and mind, I know like pretty much everyone here that the msm will lie through their sh*t stained teeth like they always do. The point is they will lie no matter what, and if by some miracle Juan McLiar were to win the primary, they'll lie against him in favor of a 100% 'Rat.

However, JD can let them rant on and then, maybe in the primary or general debate when his then current opponent tries to use it, he can whip out his letter from the DOJ and rub their little nose in it. And JD has the onions to do that instead of always looking to ingratiate himself with the forces of evil.

BTW I'm sorry I missed Greta's show, but I did see a short video of the old doofus with his clearly zonked out wife standing behind Palin while she spoke. Both of them looked like they'd like to sink a hatchet in her head. UGLY doesn't even start to describe it and from the description of body language and general tension in the reports on Greta's show, I'd say it was the same. These are not people confident of winning the primary, probably based on their internal polling. That's probably why they need to exploit Palin to such an extent even though they clearly hate her.

McCain showed up at a Teaparty I attended a week ago. Neither his wife nor Sarah were there. The organizers said it would not be a campaign event and the reason JD was not being invited was that this was to "have our elected representative, Senator McCain, let us know what's going on in Washington." Well, it WAS a campaign event to a full house in the high school auditorium. Fortunately IMO it backfired big time.

The organizers may have hoped to promote McCain and the audience was largely excited and very welcoming to him to begin with, but questions were FAIRLY allowed (gotta give credit, especially when giving discredit as well) and were not prescreened. Very little was said about Palin at least while I was there--I had to leave about an hour early.

The Palin reference I saw went as follows: McCain was asked about Cap and Trade especially now that the hoax on AGW was exposed, energy independence, etc. and he launched into a long screed about how we need nuclear and how, despite the fact that "all of us want to decrease carbon emissions", he wouldn't be voting for C&T because of the state of the economy. (I expect that as soon as the NYT pronounces an improvement on the economy, he'll feel free to vote yes on C&T)

When the questioner at the end of that campaign speech asked, what about drilling for oil?, McCain got very sarcastic and said, "Oh yeah. Drill, baby, drill. I remember that." He looked and sounded like he would have liked to spit on the floor IMO. Then he went on and repeated his nuclear thingie (pretty safe as most of us agree on that one and it's also safely in the future instead of helping us right now) and added in solar, wind... Never did face the question about drilling.

There were several exchanges on other subjects (including illegal aliens) where he was just as busy ignoring the actual question and pimping for himself instead of answering. The house got quieter and quieter with each evasion and obvious anti-conservative position. On immigration which he finally had to give some kind of answer, he said we need to control the border and set up carefully controlled programs for guest workers who'll do the work Americans don't want to do, and we'll have to deal with other questions later...

I'm pretty sure he caused several hundred people who were absolutely going to vote for him into at least giving it a lot of thought and I hope figuring out that it BETTER be JD they vote for.
