Because tea party people run the gamut of beliefs. There are more diverse opinions in the tea party movement than there are in either the Democrat or Republican parties.
To some, McCain represents what is wrong with the Republican party but others see him in a different light. After all, many tea partiers hate the Republican party and McCain has a history of going against them. The point is,everyone looks at the same situation and at the same time seeing it differently.
I hope McCain is bested by Hayworth but I think it is a mistake to savagely attack McCain, Palin or others. In the final event, we have to pull together as a team because the liberals, Obama, etal are the real enemy.
The best thing Hayworth supporters could do is sing his praises, run a positive, issue based campaign. To win over the support of those backing McCain for the general would be easier if they didn’t slash and burn their guy in the primary.
I don’t hate McCain, I just think he is no different then a Democrat. Plus the way he allowed his campaign team to treat Sarah made me sick. When he said that “Obama will make a great President, nothing to fear from him” that really pissed me off because I donated for the first time in my life to a campaign and I thought he would fight for us but he did not, he just kinda rolled over and screwed Sarah in the process, letting her hang out to dry. I saw JD Hayworth today on Cavuto, awesome guy. We need more guys like him running for the Senate, he has enough class to understand why Sarah is running with McCain, in fact, I just saw the Greta interview, she never said she would not campaign for JD, in fact she said that she loves contested primaries, and that whoever the electorate in Arizona decides should be their Senator will win, doesnt sound like someone who is glued to the hip of McCain..if Hayworth wins, she will support him, and you know what, I think he has a great chance of winning
