A President Romney would never have pushed through a bill that forced people to purchase insurance and provided free healthcare to illegal immigrants, all the while drastically increasing the health-insurance premiums of regular Americans.
Um, oh, wait...

But then, do we really want a president with a verifiable paper trail leading all the way back to his birth and one with notable accomplishments on his record?

A President Romney would never make up his mind about anything but put his finger in the air to decide what wins the day.

Obama is certainly actual proof that WE CAN DO FAR WORSE THAN A PRESIDENT ROMNEY.

Here is one thing I am certain about: A President Mitt Romney would never have bowed to anyone -- not to Saudi King Abdullah, not to Japanese Emperor Akihito. Here's another thing: A President Romney would not have traveled around the world badmouthing his country and making apologies for it. Here's a third: A President Romney would never have ordered the closing of the prison at Guantanamo Bay or lowered the American flag in Haiti. All true. But neither would any other Republican President. ...and even most Democrat Presidents, for that matter.

He’ll never apologize to the dead babies he helped murder with his support for abortion. He’ll never apologize for being a phony corporate elitist RINO. He’ll never apologize for paving the way for Obamacare with Romneycare.

The big problem is, of all those "stupid president tricks" you mentioned, no one else would do them either except barack obama...so there is no coup for Romney in your list.
Saying - in effect - that "Romney is not obama" is not good enough. People like obama are rare, and most of them are in jail.
But I can assure you of one thing, if the race comes down to Romney vs Obama, then I might hold my nose and vote for him just to get obama out...but, he won't get my vote in the primary...Romney is a hair-sprayed RINO, to rich to know how the rest of us live and has already done his own, failed, version of obamacare; from what I hear, he wants to go National with it.
Please go campaign somewhere else...the election is NOT until 2012.

"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clintons dont ask, dont tell, dont pursue military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."
Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney

If Romney becomes the GOP nominee in 2012 - and people bash him or stay home — we will have BO forever. If the choice is RINO or ZERO, I’ll take the RINO.
I don’t think he will get the nomination anyway — he couldn’t even beat McCain last time.
I think we may get someone unexpected

People, if we want to win the next election, we need to be realistic about who can win. Even if it’s Romney, we need to just hold our noses and pull the lever. Without economic freedom, we really have no others. Romney can go a long way toward getting the economy back on track.
I’m as pro-life as one can be, but I seem to recall that George H. W. Bush finally came around on that subject (after years of sponsorship of Planned Parenthood). Let’s get a Republican back in the WH, then we’ll work on his bona fides for his re-election. We CANNOT afford another Democrat presidential term.
