The Remington 1100 and 11-48 have been made in .410. A number of pumps, Browning BPS, Remington 870, Mossberg 500 and Winchester 42 exist. The doubles, both O/U and SxS are very numerous.
It’s a great gauge, I routinely break 90+ with it at Skeet.
Thanks for the information. I’ve been out of the gun acquisition game for a couple of decades, so I’m not up on a lot of the currently available models. I have fired .410 semi-autos myself, and also some O/U doubles.
However, I still maintain that the .410 semi-autos are not common, relative to other gauges. The gentleman who shot the chihuahua may indeed have used a .410 semi-auto, but I’m also familiar with the media’s habit of sensationalizing and overly dramatizing gun stories with inaccurate jargon. Absent further evidence I don’t know if the story was accurate. I was simply voicing some personal skepticism. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been wrong... /g
