At a recent debate between California's Republican gubernatorial candidates Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner, Whitman mentioned that she had heard an interview on NPR with the governor of Maine. Poizner retorted, "Another difference between Meg and me: I don't listen to NPR." Host Guy Raz recaps the exchange for everyone who is listening.

What a non surprise.
Poizner needs to hang it up.
Whitman is in the wrong party sounds like.
Lord, we in California are soooo screwed!!!
Great line!
you have been screwed for a while.
No kidding....
Well, she served on the “Friends of (Barbara) Boxer” Committee and donated to that woman’s campaign in 2004. So, I would safely bet she is, at the very least, an unabashed “RINO” candidate.
There’s nothing wrong with listening to NPR... you just may have to turn up the volume a little bit...
Anyone who admits to listening to NPR should be forgotten!!
NPR bans the term “pro-life”?
They both need to hang it up. I wish these billionaire candidates would just leave California and we could get some real Repubs in office but that will probably never happen. I just can’t believe she’s ahead in the primary here given her record but just like Arnold the Repubs are probably thinking “but she’s electable”.
Has anyone ever seen Meg and John McCain photographed together. Didn’t think so.... Hmmmmmmm
NPR =
No
Progress (under)
Reagan
He is really pandering to the right wingers by saying he doesn’t listen to NPR. How about PBS? Does he watch PBS?
Maybe he just can’t stand bassoon and tympani solos between news segments.
Listening to NPR is not the problem. Letting them do your thinking for you is.
“Are you now or have you ever been an eater of Brie Cheese?”
Answer the question!
No! But I do admit to listening to that awful Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers show and their constantly lousy advice to take every Volvo station wagon that makes the slightest creak or squeak back to the dealer for a “lookover” and a “check-out”.
“Listening to NPR is not the problem. Letting them do your thinking for you is.”
You are right. NPR is one of the outlets that telegraph what the Progress Socialist are planning. I can only listen for so long before finger are embedded into the wooden arms of my chair.
This is a rightwinger site that you joined, appealing to rightwingers is a good thing.
Do you watch PBS ? Yes or No?
