I don’t want to get all wrapped around the “what’s up with Palin?” debate; I think it’s an issue with her of supporting someone she owes a personal debt. Whether or not we agree with that concept in the present circumstances, I’ll bet she won’t be heartbroken to see JD Hayworth win the race. And I think that explains McCain’s “Tea Party isn’t supporting anyone” comment: it gives her cover with the Tea Party (he thinks, anyway), neither claims TP’s support for himself nor concedes it for Hayworth (whether or not that’s the case).

The issue is this: you can support JD Hayworth with a small donation and encourage others to do the same, and we can sift Palin out as things go along. It’s not about Palin or any given individual at this point other than those who are running for office. Check out Reset.org for help with linking to support pages. April 13th is the first date coming up for the congressional level, Edward Lynch in Florida. As the “anointed one” said yesterday: Go for it!

Why do you think that is the issue, when she explicitly and publicly says different? Why do you think you know better what she really means than she does?

I’ll bet she won’t be heartbroken to see JD Hayworth win the race.

I doubt she will be "heartbroken", but your suggestion that her support of McCain isn't real is insulting to her. Why do you keep insisting that she is lying when she says McCain is the best man for the Senate seat? Why do you insist that she couldn't have actually meant the nice things she said about McCain in her book, and why do you keep claiming that she isn't endorsing McCain because she wants him to win?
