Before 1948, Israeli Jews were called Palestinians. The Jerusalem Post used to be the Palestine Post. The Romans renamed Israel “Palestine,” when they conquered Israel, to stick it to the Jews. It was meant to inflict the ultimate insult to name the country after the Jews’ enemies, the Philistines.
Or as Jeremiah Wright said it (and he DID), it was the fault of rich White Europeans, you know, the eyetalians.
