My thought exactly this a.m. when I first heard about obamao's disarmament deal with the Russkies and then a South Korean ship explodes. We had all better be well strapped in, because as the usurper promised early on, "you ain't seen nuthin' yet."
Like to hear more detail on this, though.
Im thinking that the Norks used some of their special forces to mine the waters between Pangnyongdo and North Korea.
And the South Korean naval vessel ran into one.
The 51st may be cracking their knuckles but the 303rd probably knows what really went down.
Well, *THAT’S* mighty interesting.
John Batchelor radio show source is claiming it was a North Korean torpedo and the South Koreans have been told to suck it up. The 11 day annual joint military exercise between US/South Korean forces just concluded within the past week.
Which means that it probably was.
Batchelor’s source is likely correct. There is a PRC mouthpiece on this thread ... once he appeared with alternate theories about the attack, it was pretty obvious what was happening.
You will notice that is why I did not get particularly excited on these threads yesterday and today.
However, the loss of 46 ROK Navy lives is very sad. Hope they get to the bottom of the explosion near the "screw".
I do not believe Kim Jong il was behind this one. Just my personal take.
The War of Jenkins’ Ear comes to mind....
Anything you are at liberty to elaborate on. The location of this “incident” alone in the context of history makes an accident very tough to swallow without some detailed explanation . . .
A simple, but imperfect analogy - Let’s suppose there was a small patrol of 3 IDF soldiers patrolling the Gaza boundary fence and that without warning all 3 turned into pink mist. One theory given was the boys had been horseplaying and the pin on one of their gernades was accidentally pulled and KABOOM - tragic accident. The other theory was that a cell of Hamas operatives ambushed the boys and blew them to smithereens. Now accidents happen all the time, but you are going to have a tough time getting anyone to believe that IDF patrol wasn’t pink misted by Hamas because of the location of the incident.
To say that this SK ship “accidentally” blew up right on the northern line of control, where countless other NK/SK naval skrimishes have take place the last few decades, would be quiet the coincidence is the understatement of the year.
what’s the latest on the cause?
hey,..you know your stuff. :)
Officially, yet to be determined. Media is on speculation frenzy. As if recent troubling developments in domestic NK situation were not enough.:-)
Thanks for the ping, things keep happening, I fear for where it will end.
Thank you for the ping.....and for keeping us up to date.
South Korean naval ship fired at an unidentified vessel to the north on Friday after a South Korean naval vessel began sinking, the Yonhap news agency reported. Broadcaster SBS said many sailors were feared dead on the stricken ship.
