FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 22, 2010
Cheboygan, Mich.Dennis Lennox is not your typical twentysomething. Only 25 years old, the Cheboygan County Drain Commissioner has established an exploratory committee to challenge Rep. Bart Stupak, MI-1s incumbent Democratic Congressman.
Fueled by Stupaks compromise on taxpayer funding of abortion this Sunday, which helped Congressional Democrats pass legislation overhauling the national health care system, Lennox announced the formation of his exploratory committee on March 22, 2010.
Congressman Stupak is an example of why term limits are needed in Washington, said Lennox. He went to Washington with honorable intentions when I was in third grade, but he lost his way over the years. Congressman Stupak threw the views of his constituents under the Mackinac Bridge for 30 pieces of silver.
Running on a platform of reducing government, cutting taxes, defending traditional values, protecting life, and improving education, Lennoxs solid résumé of public service sets him apart from his primary challengers.
I find that difficult to believe. Besides intention is worth nothing. Conviction does count for something. Stupak lacks the latter.
What the heck is a “Drain Commissioner”?
No on Lennox He’s a big self-promoter who’s got ethics issues of his own. My family who lives in his area told me he’s facing charges of misusing county money. That’s not what we need.
