Now, let's peak under the hood and see who conducted the poll. This "Clarus Group" is headed by Ron Faucheux, a well known DEMOCRAT political operative from Louisiana. As recently as 2008, he was serving as the Chief of Staff for DEMOCRAT U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu. He got his start in politics as the campaign manager for Edwin Edwards protege and longtime DEMOCRAT Senator John Breaux. He was a DEMOCRAT state representative in Louisiana.

This poll is about as nonpartisan as James Carville.

The Dems are desperate to shore up Romney as the GOP candidate and must have had this push poll in the can, knowing full well that Obamacare was going to sink him. They are desperate to rehabilitate him and to try to put across the ridiculous notion that Obama is invincible against Palin but would be in the race of his life against Mitt Romney! These push polls should be expected and should be dismissed for what they are: Democrat propaganda. Obama's only hope is to face off against Mitt Romney.

Let's take a little walk down memory lane (as RR used to say). On April 19, 1979, only 18 months before the election, the Gallup poll found Reagan trailing Carter by 52-38%, while the moderate Ford ran much better, trailing Carter by only 48-41%. In December, 1978, Carter's lead over Reagan was an even larger 57-35%, while Ford trailed by 53-39%.

And this is news today....why?

Didnt we fall for this when we let them pick McLAME last time?

And wasn’t Romney a LOSER to McLame?

So why would we want to run this old crop of has-beens who lost last time, against their top guys?

Romney has name recognition, as in Romneycare. We don’t need McCain two, the repeat.

My short list is made up of the people who were in the fight against Obama during 2009 and 2010. I’m not interested in someone who is looking for a coronation.

If Romney was a leader he would be leading right now. If he were a fighter he’d be fighting right now while we’re in the fight of the century. Instead he is moving his chess pieces around on the board and pulling strings trying to get himself appointed as leader. Leaders don’t wait to be appointed as leader, they lead.

In a head-to-head match-up, Obama leads Romney 45 percent to 41 percent with 14 percent undecided.

That's how the general election would turn out, too. Time for fresh faces committed to shrinking government, not Republicans who instituted their own government health plans.

Just what the nation needs - a RINO who passed RomneyCare. If the Republicans can’t do better than this, they’ll eff up the clear advantage handed them on a silver platter by the Imperial Congress. But, then, it’s virtually never possible to overstate the degree to which our nation’s politicans - on both sides of the aisle - can eff things up for Americans.

How about a little barf alert when you post an article about the abortion-supporting, gun-grabbing Mitt?

This isn’t a dem push poll, this is a CFR push poll.

Hillary was supposed to win the last election. Obama threw in a lefty-marxist wrench into their plans similar (conversely) to the way Reagan threw in a Pro-American, Conservative wrench into the Bush 1 NWO agenda.

Romney will be lauded, even over Obama, by the media. The media may lean far left, but they get paid by the same folks that pushed Hillary.

Romney is a Republican Hillary, but with smaller balls than hers.

Pray for a real Conservative.

“A new nonpartisan . . . nationwide poll shows that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is currently the strongest GOP presidential candidate for the 2012 election.”

Yeah, among the DNC party insiders. Just as McLame was. Just as Dole was.

We'll be hearing this disinformation constantly for the next two years as Dims and Rinos try to make sure any conservative candidacy is stillborn.

We need to get behind a true conservative shortly after the Nov. 2010 elections and not splinter our vote. Then let the Rinos split the country club/effete vote.
