That being said - you may not see Israel as an ally of any value to the United States ... but basing that assessment on the fact that Israel doesn't have any troops in Iraq or Afghanistan is about the lamest reason imaginable for justifying that opinion.
Having Israeli troops in either of those theaters would be like sending the Pope to take a dump on the Kaaba.
