Key weapons denied: The report revealed that the White House has so far blocked key weapons projects and upgrades for Israel, rejecting requests for AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters while approving advanced F-16 multi-role fighters for Egypt. Israel has meanwhile refrained from objecting to American plans to sell F-16s, Harpoon Block 2 anti-ship missiles, Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, fast attack craft and helicopters to the Egyptians. In addition to the advanced weapons sold to Egypt, Washington has also approved more than $10 billion worth of arms sales to Arab League states, including Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

“Indeed, Israel’s request for six AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters was blocked by the Obama Administration in June — the same time the Egyptian sale was approved,” the JINSA report stated.

According to the report, the failure to sponsor Israel’s qualitative edge, which violates a pledge given more than 40 years ago to maintain Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors, began not with Obama but under the previous administration of President George W. Bush. “The concept of the Qualitative Military Edge failed to keep up with the changes in U.S. arms sales and training policy over the decades.” Israel has to now stay ahead through other means.

Shift in 2004: A major U.S. policy shift came in 2004, when the Bush Administration needed Gulf Arab help for the American-led invasion of Iraq – particularly after Turkey denied Bush entrance into Iraq from the north – and wanted to bolster Washington’s influence and ability to deal with regional problems.

JINSA dismissed Israeli government claims that the White House was ready to address the erosion of Israel’s defensive capabilities. The Institute said the January 2010 visit by U.S. National Security Advisor James Jones did not concern the Washington's pledge to Israel’s qualitative military edge but was to push Israel into making further concessions to the Fatah-led PA.

According to the report, the U.S. aid to Arab states has hampered Israeli military cooperation with Washington. More than 20 years ago, the Israel Air Force stopped participating in American sponsored regional exercises in order to prevent the leakage of combat tactics.

Zero is selling weapons to the Arabs ... and preventing weapons from being sold to Israel. I’ll bet you never hear about this little fact in the MSM.

This is an *Unbelievable Betrayal* of a key ally in the region, and a 180 degree turn in US policy. The USA is now clearly Anti-Israel.

"the Obama administration has refused to approve any major Israeli weapons requests. "

Obviously, the Obama wants the same things the Muslim states want: Destruction of Israel and the United States.

No, the U.S. isn’t, but the Obama administration, with the support of American Jews are.

Members of Congress need to get off their butts and start raising mortal hell about this and all Obama’s other deliberate insults and damaging policies toward Israel.

Can the term "self-loathing" possibly better describe any ethnic group in the world today than it can reasonably be concluded it does Jews??

The evidence demands an emphatic "NO!".

Looking at the big picture here, it is important to distinguish that the primary threat to Israel is Iran and its proxies, Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Much less the Arab nations.

This threat is a “Tier 1”, that could involve a nuclear exchange. So it is, and should be, the main priority to avoid. For their part, the Arab nations feel as threatened by Iran as do the Israelis.

The “Tier 2 and Tier 3” threats, of first, a conventional war with Arab nations, and continued civil war from Palestinians, need a different remedy.

First and foremost, Israel must stop messing around with the Palestinians. If the Gaza Strip is restive, tell them to cease hostilities, or the Palestinians who live there will be pushed into Egypt.

While this could lead to hostilities with Egypt, though probably not much, once they were over, Israel would still be free of the Gaza Palestinians. As long as they didn’t foolishly let more in.

So the ball truly is in Israel’s court. They can solve their problems in just a year or two. But likely they will continue to futz around.

The US also broke a pledge to sell Israel more deep penetration bunker buster bombs. These are necessary as Iraq has put their uranium making facilities underground. There is going to be a war with Iran, despite Omama’s talk fest, and that war is going to be nuclear unless something is done now.

In 1968 the Israelis fought with regunned Shermans against newly supplied Russian T-55 and T-62 tanks and in Jordan against American supplied T-60 tanks. They wiped them all out. In the 1980 battle for Southern Lebanon the Israelis road into battle in WWII vintage M-3 Half tracks vs the BMP-3s of the Syrian Army. The quality of the Israeli soldiers will make up for any parity or even deficit in equipment.

Damn - that 8.8 Chile Earthquake has caused the world to turn upside down. The U.S. is supporting Islamo-facists while turning it’s back on our only ally (and only true democracy) in the Middle East. The song, “We didn’t Start the Fire” is playing in the background.

"Binyamin Netanyahu has also refrained from protesting massive American weapons sales to Arab states in the region, an initiative that has eroded Israel’s military edge over its neighbors."

But American Jews will still be Obama zombies and vote for leftist (communist) Democrats.

Easiest way for Israel to regain the edge is to either reverse engineer the blueprints from existing stock and contract with India and/or China to build them.

Or to have the Mossad steal the plans and then do the same.

China would initially be the more willing partner in this, but India would be a deeper and longer lasting partner.

...the Likud-led government of Binyamin Netanyahu has also refrained from protesting massive American weapons sales to Arab states in the region, an initiative that has eroded Israel's military edge over its neighbors. The Institute reports that over the last year, the Obama administration has refused to approve any major Israeli weapons requests. Government sources asserted that the refusal represents a new White House policy to link arms sales to the Jewish state with the Netanyahu government's willingness to submit on Washington's demands that Israel surrender Judea, Samaria and most of Jerusalem to the American-backed Palestinian Authority.
Thanks Nobel_1.
