Sen. Bunning, standing up for fiscal accountability in our Congress, had apparently received death threats because of this. It is a sad, sad day for America when such men, simply showing integrity where integrity should be the rule of the day, are threatened for doing so.
From Jammie Wearing Fool
A couple of weeks ago when far-left quack Joe Stack flew a plane into the IRS building in Austin the left was quick to call him a teabagger terrorist and immediately assign blame to Republicans.
Well, now that we know Senator Jim Bunning has been subjected to bomb threats and now death threats, theyre curiously silent.
Meanwhile, Capitol Police are investigating numerous threats that have come into Bunnings office over the past several days in response to his filibuster, sources familiar with the situation said.
A Bunning aide confirmed late Tuesday night that the office had received a number of complaints via phone, fax and e-mail, and that they had been forwarded on to Capitol Police for investigation. There have been some threats. We take all threats seriously, and weve been reporting them to the authorities, the aide said.
A second source familiar with the situation said Bunning had received a number of death threats.

but Bunning caved in exchange for getting the senate RATS to promise a vote on an amendment. Then they tabled it and he never got his vote.

Seriously, right or left, who in their right mind leaves death threats?
Now I do agree that there are many more progressives who are insane and more likely to make death threats, because it takes those with very little sanity to follow their party line.

Yes, but, I can’t imagine standing alone. I know at times you need to do it but, the pressure must have been horrendous. That’s why I believe at this point we need to have term limits for congress. These years and years they stay in just breeds weakness and corruption.

This was sort of my subject on a post the other day...with today's technology - including, but not limited to "caller-ID", call traceing technology, GPS, recording instruments, and voice recognition - who could get away with a death threat?
eMail can be tracked. Snail mail can even be identified via handwriting, postmark, stamp/envelope saliva, fingerprints, typewriter type, stationary type, etc., etc., etc.
IF all these "death threats" are happening, WHERE is the FBI, the Secret Service, and why aren't these "threats" being exposed?
Most Americans - when hearing of death threats and riots - immediately think of the the left and their protests and riots of the 60's, or race riots. Conservatives don't have a history or track record of riots, inciting riots, or violence.
Those caucus members who were supposedly called the "n-word" at the TEA party rally offer no proof...even from their own video cameras they were using to film the "staged" event. Nothing. It backfired on them, and they simply made something up to support their cause.
The only violence EVER recorded at at TEA party event was the beating of a black conservative, by black SEIU, purple shirted thugs at a townhall rally last year.
It's the only violence on record associated with a TEA party...and THEY did it.
Believe this: IF there had been ANYTHING the left could get on record for their media pets to exhibit, it would be there...but there is nothing.
I challenge all conservative TEA party participants to confront anyone issuing public threats and racial slurs and ascertain if they are actually conservatives, or democrat "plants" trying to stir up trouble.
To the left...Walk your talk, or shut up. Show us the videos, let us hear the voice mail tapes, show us the (verfied) emails, and show us where you have instigated official FBI/SS investigations to locate those you claim are threatening you.
Walk your talk, or shut up. Without proof, you ain't $h|+.

I know I hear that argument from my hubby and some family members. The people can vote them out but, don’t. We could have said the same thing about President and he does have term limits now. Probably because of Roosevelt. I think it’s time for term limits for congress. I guess they would have to be the ones to vote for that and that ain’t ever going to happen.

Term Limits might be good but I don’t think that will change their character they can stil make dumb decisions in a short time.
