It’ll be a cold day in hell before they do this to me! As a hard working, responsible person who had the forethought to put money away for my and my family’s well being my entire working life, I am looking at my nest egg now as one of the only things keeping me from doing something rash. Touch it, and things will NOT end well. We sacrificed to save because we are responsible. I’m sorry that others weren’t as smart to do the same, but it is not my responsibility to take care of those who refuse to take care of themselves. They want a revolution, I think folks like me will be willing to give it to them!!!

Gosh, that is really harsh. Are you saying you’re also not willing to help pay down someone else’s mortgage?

They have already done it to some. Some workers (including non-union members) retired with health plans they earned in the private sector, and now Obama has a schedule to tax them, unless they backpedal when the tax is about to become effective. The date might depend on the reconciliation bill. Hard to keep up with the changes.

You actually saved money instead of spending it all? Do you realize how that hurt our economy. We have a consumption economy. If they wanted us to save, they wouldnt drop savings interest rates to 1%. They want us to borrow instead and spend that. Saving for the future is very selfish. It shows you don't trust your GOVMENT to provide for you. Think of Thanks-giving as Thanks-Obama-ing or Obama-giving :)
