I travel that stretch of road every day. The behaviour of some drivers during the rush hour is beyond “agresssive.” It can only be described as murderous. During the years I commuted by motorcycle, I’d have at least 3 life threatening near misses per month, by drivers fully willing to kill me simply to place themselves one car length ahead of anybody else.

That’s about as nasty a stretch of road as there is in the greater Metro DC area. And you’re right, they’d kill you in a NY minute just to get a car length ahead. Not sure why they don’t just hop on VRE. I think I’d be homicidal or suicidal if I had to drive that every day.
