I agree.

Though Hollywood has become a pit of smirking overpaid talentless liberals, the sign itself does not reflect that.

It reflects a time when Hollywood was cool, a time when the overall product was classy and yes, even family-friendly.

It reflects a by-gone era - but at the same time, it’s completely historical and worthy of saving. When people think of Hollywood, I suspect that this sign automatically comes to mind.

To let this sign disappear because Hollywood has become a purveyor of sometimes junky movies and even worse yet, misguided entertainment figures, is akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face.

And best yet, private money is being used to save this sign. I can’t disagree with that.
