I became totally deflated after Stacy’s call. The Fox News Legal Analyst both think it won’t be overturned.
I’m just so depressed about this.
I heard another analyst say the same thing. He felt that the odds of this bill being over-turned are...well, remote.
If the GOP is lucky enough to gain control of the House in November, the best thing we can do is to un-fund this travesty.
What was their reasoning?
On specific constitutional grounds, or just “because they worked so hard”?
The Constitution is pretty plain, and unless these “scholars” never completed the first grade they should find the basis for overturning it in Article 1 Section 8, and in the 9th and 10th Amendments. Why must we make things so complicated?
Im just so depressed about this.
I've known for a while that Deathcare was going to pass, and I'm sure they're also going to pass a whole slew of bloated, unconstitutional bills while they still have the majority. I imagine they'll also be written in a way that they will not be able to be repealed when/if Republicans gain the majority and the bills come into effect.
I really don't have much faith that this country can be restored through legislative or judicial means. I imagine the storm on the horizon to be incredibly violent and dark.
